Call-Out: Creative Technologist

Description

leo&hyde are a Manchester-based musical theatre company. We're a small and friendly team, who get excitable about new music, theatre and technology.

We're looking for a Creative Technologist to find a way to bring the artwork of our new musical ‘Pop Art’ to life. We’re open to all forms of creative technology and are excited to explore new digital ways to create musicals.

‘Pop Art’ follows Mona Lisa as she hops from frame to frame on a journey through the history of art. Along the way she meets famous (and not-so-famous) faces from art history.

Watch our intro to Pop Art here.

THE ROLE

We’ll be working together to find original digital ways to present the songs from the musical, taking inspiration from the artworks and our music to do so.

The CT will have experience in VR, AR, Motion/Performance Capture, machine learning, game engines or any other creative-technological practice. We’re at a stage where we’re simply excited to meet practitioners and explore a range of ideas.

You'll respond to a song from ‘Pop Art’ and pitch us a way in which you could see the artwork performing their song using your method before working with us to record your idea.

PRACTICALITIES

Times & Fee

  • The fee will be £800 to develop the idea in dialogue with us though we hope that working together can lead to collaboration on future projects.

We warmly welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.
